Important Notice to Brazos Internet DSL Customers

Brazos Internet is enhancing the DSL network. These enhancements require that all DSL customers make minor changes to the Internet and email settings on your computer(s). To avoid Internet or email service interruptions please complete the required changes, summarized below, by March 23rd, 2009.

• Brazos is implementing a more secure method of sending email: SMTP Authentication. You will need to change your Email Client Settings (Outlook, Outlook Express, etc.), to support SMTP authentication. This includes verifying the host names for the incoming and outgoing mail servers as well as Username format.
• Your computer must also be changed to support DHCP (obtains an IP address automatically), which will include changes to the DNS settings.
